Nepal records highest-ever 8,659 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 3,835 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 8,659 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,605 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 54 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 2,849 persons in Kathmandu, 518 in Lalitpur, and 458 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus.

According to the Ministry, there are 66,352 active cases as of Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 1,993 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 58 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.
