Gandaki Province CM tests COVID-19 positive

KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has tested coronavirus positive on Wednesday.

According to sources, CM Gurung had sent his swab for PCR test after he tested positive in the RDT carried out on Tuesday.

Speaker Netra Nath Adhikari and leaders of the parliamentary parties in Gandaki province have been subject to contact tracing now.

Gurung had attended the all-party meeting on Tuesday.

Speaker Adhikari had called an all-party meeting Tuesday to discuss the measures to be taken to end the deadlock in the parliament.

Gurung had met Prime Minister KP Oli on Friday and returned to Pokhara on Saturday.

He had consulted for the tests after his press coordinator Bikram Neupane had tested COVID-19 positive.
