130 people test COVID-19 positive in Chitwan

CHITWAN: 130 swabs tested in Bharatpur COVID Laboratory have come out with coronavirus positive result on Wednesday.

According to the lab sources, out of 224 swabs examined against coronavirus, 130 including 101 from Chitwan district have tested positive.

Most of the infected cases are from Bharatpur Metropolis. 88 persons including 46 males and 42 females tested coronavirus positive in Bharatpur alone.

Similarly eight persons from Ratnanagar, two each from Kharahani and Madi and one from Kalika Municipality have also tested COVID-19 positive.

The remaining 29 are the cases from Nawalpur, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Parbat, Kathmandu and Bara.

Chitwan has got nearly 1500 actively infected people as of May 5.
