BUTWAL: The Lumbini Province government has abruptly ended the winter session of the province assembly.

According to sources, the cabinet meeting Chaired by Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel on Monday decided to recommend the Province Chief Dharmanath Yadav to end the running session.

“The meeting will end at 12 pm on Tuesday,” said Baija Nath Choudhary, the province government’s spokesperson.

The province government has decided to end the session of the province assembly at a time when the CPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress and Janata Samajbadi Party have collected signatures of lawmakers to table a no-confidence motion against CM Pokhrel.
