KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has met with President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Shital Niwas on Thursday.

Prime Minister Oli met with President Bhandari at a time when the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in alliance with main opposition Nepali Congress is making preparations to lodge a no confidence motion against him. The reinstated house session is taking place on Sunday afternoon.

According to Shital Niwas sources, Prime Minister Oli discussed his possible exit during the meeting with the President.

Olli is under pressure to step down following the reinstatement of the House of Representatives (HoR) by the Supreme Court.

In a landmark verdict, the SC on February 23 reinstated the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR), reversing the government’s decision.
