50 inmates get vaccine against Covid-19



DOTI: The District Health Office (DHO) here vaccinated 50 inmates against Covid-19. They were administered the vaccine in district jail, according to contact officer at DHO, Surya Bista.

Thirty security persons deputed in the jail were also vaccinated against Covid-19 on the occasion.

However, four inmates died vaccination. The DHO has launched the campaign to ensure anti-Covid-19 vaccine to 1,526 frontline workers including health workers and employees for the first round in the district.

The inmates and security persons were also vaccinated under this scheme. DHO Chief Ramesh Malasi said the health posts/offices in all nine local levels in the district would be gradually provided vaccination against Covid-19.

The first phase of vaccination would be accomplished within eight days, DHO added.
