Nepal to receive 2,200,000 dozes of COVAX vaccine by Feb-end

KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is set to receive 2,256,000 dozes of COVID-19 vaccines at the initiation of the World Health Organizations (WHO).

The vaccine manufacturing company COVAX will distribute COVID-19 vaccines by the end of February. According to a statement issued recently, the COVAX will release 336,000,000 dozes of coronavirus vaccines to 140 countries.

Nepal will receive the amount of COVID-19 vaccines aforesaid as per the distribution management plan of the COVAX. The vaccine that Nepal will receive has been jointly developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

Preparations are underway to inoculate at least three percent of the people in all the countries in the next six months, according COVAX.
