EC approves work procedure on determination of polling booth and polling centre



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has approved the ‘work procedure on polling center and polling booth, 2077’ and ‘program on review of polling center and polling booth, 2077’ in view of the election to the House of Representatives (HoR).

Spokesperson at Election Commission, Raj Kumar Shrestha, shared that the work procedures were approved before making public the final list of voters.

The government has announced elections to HoR on April 30 and May 10. The EC has also begun a process to finalize the voters’ list.

As per the approved work procedure, the program on determination of polling booth and polling center will begin in the district from January 7.

There will be a recommendation committee in the district under the coordination of Chief District Officer for determining polling booth and polling centers. The EC has appealed to all political parties, local levels, civil society, journalists and stakeholders to extend assistance from their sides in this bid.
