JANAKPURDHAM: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) has ousted Satya Narayan Mandal from the parliamentary party leader of State-2.

A meeting of the parliamentary party of the Prachanda-Nepal faction held on Tuesday decided to remove Mandal from the post.

Mandal is close to Prime Minister KP Oli.

Among the 32 NCP members in the State Assembly, 19 had supported the no-confidence motion against Mandal.

Likewise, the meeting has picked Shatrudhan Mahato as the leader of the parliamentary party.

Similarly, Ram Kumar Yadav is the Deputy Leader of State 2 Parliamentary Party, Sundar Bahadur Bishwakarma as the Chief Whip, and Bechi Lungeli as the Whip.
