SANKHUWASABHA: Police have arrested three individuals on the charge of ferrying narcotic drugs in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad arrested Resh Bhagat Shrestha, Ramesh Budhathoki of Khandbari municipality-3 and Rabi Gurung of Khandbari municipality-4 at Manebhanjyang in possession of illegal drugs, informed Police Inspector Shubhesh Adhikari.

Police seized 10 milligrams of brown sugar from the possession of Shrestha and 65 milligrams of opium from Budhathoki and 940 milligrams of opium from the possession of Gurung.

District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha said they are investigating the case after taking the arrested on a seven-day remand from the district court.
