Oli excoriates Gautam and Nepal for deserting UML

Says Gautam deserted to be Deputy PM and Nepal to be party Chair

KATHMANDU:  CPN-UML Chairperson Oli has criticized former UML leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Bam Dev Gautam accusing them of deserting the party to be party chairman and Deputy Prime Minister respectively.

Speaking at a program organized by UML’s Kathmandu Metropolitan Level Committee, Chairman Oli verbally assaulted leader Nepal saying the latter had bowed before then King Gyanendra pleading for the post of Prime Minister.

“Nepalji had done everything to get the post of Prime Minister, he bowed before the King and sought king’s favor to be the PM,” former PM Oli said, adding, “He even became the President of a Buddisst organization to earn more money.”

The UML Chair accused leader Bam Dev Gautam of betraying the party to become the Deputy Prime Minister.

“To become Deputy Prime Minister some leaders scolded me at personal level and deserted the party,” Oli said indicating leader Gautam’s Friday’s statement, “When someone wants to become Deputy PM, they say Oli became a dictator and join another group requesting to be made Deputy Prime Minister.”
