Nepal sees 1,268 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,268 new cases of coronavirus while 2,195 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 1,024 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 244 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 289 cases in Kathmandu, 44 in Bhaktapur and 53 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 386.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 9 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,818 in the country.
