UML Chair Oli seeks NC, Maoist Center’s views on MCC

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Oli has sought the views of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on the US-backed Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement.

Addressing a program held by UML Kathmandu Metropolitan here on Saturday, he wondered about Deuba and Prachanda’s stance on MCC.

Stating that they were trickily trying to pass the MCC, Oli expressed his indignation saying that the leaders of the alliance were mum on the issue. “Nobody talks about MCC, they haven’t said a word. Deuba and Prachanda, should not they clearly say what ought to be done with MCC? They are silent on the matter,” he said.

“There is no border dispute with China. Why did a committee needed to be formed to resolve the border dispute with China,” he said. “My challenge is for this committee to show a border dispute anywhere.”

Oli also accused the government of straining ties with India and China.
