CM Poudel visits Sindhuligadhi, echoes need of its further publicity



KATHMANDU: Bagmati Province Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today visited Sindhuligadhi, the historic site in Sindhuli.

Chief Minister Poudel who had reached Sindhuligadhi this morning also observed the War Museum and Rani Durbar (Queen’s Palace) rebuilding project.

On the occasion, he said the government has invested to keep the history alive and the establishment of the Museum would help the district’s development.

The Chief Minister believed that the promotion of tourism in such historic sites would help improve people’s income and living standards.

He said the need for a security unit here was realized for the security of the Museum established to keep the glorious history alive and promised to work out for the same upon reaching Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati.

On the occasion, he sought the further dissemination of the Museum and Rani Durbar.

He called for ensuring quality construction of the Rani Durbar. Kamalamai municipality deputy mayor Manju Devkota apprised the Chief Minister of the plans formulated for the development of Museum, Rani Durbar, and Sindhuligadhi.

The protection and publicity of Sindhuligadhi was the priority of the local government, she said.

The local representative took time to urge the Chief Minister to allocate a budget for the management, risk reduction, and loss mitigation of monsoon-related disasters in the municipality.
