Might join politics if I succeed in cricket management: Paras Khadka



KATHMANDU: Former captain of the Nepali national cricket team Paras Khadka has said that he can enter politics if he succeeds in managing cricket.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the day after retiring from international cricket, former skipper of national team said that his first priority was to join the cricket association.

Khadka said that he has felt the role he will be taking will be more challenging though in a different way.

“The role of the cricket association will be decided in the future,” he said, adding “My career has started from today. It’s challenging. ”

During the interaction with the reporters, he shared his plan to open a cricket academy and extend it across the country. He said that he would not stay away from the field of cricket.

Stating that his first priority is cricket, Khadka said, “If there is a good opportunity, and if I succeed in management of cricket, I can also be in politics.”
