Ruling coalition’s task-force to unveil CMP today

Entails 11-pt priorities, 14-pt Code of Conduct



KATHMANDU: The task-force of the ruling coalition has prepared a common minimum program (CMP) to effectively run the government.

As per the CMP prepared by the task-force led by General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, the alliance will endorse it by today, share the ministerial portfolios by Thursday and expand the cabinet by Friday, even without the participation of the Nepal-Khanal faction of CPN-UML.

The CMP shall come into force once it is endorsed by the top-notched leadership of the ruling coalition and will be unveiled following the endorsement.

The CMP prepared by the ruling alliance has 11-point priorities of the government and a 14-point code of conduct to be followed by the ministers in the cabinet.

According to the CMP, the government will investigate the irregularities in the procurement of medical supplies and take action against the guilty. Similarly, it will also relieve the ministers immediately if they are found breaching the Code of Conduct.

The policies and programs prepared by the ruling coalition also are aimed at bailing the country out of the pandemic, promoting national interest, implementing federalism and consolidating federal democratic republic.

Besides, the CMP also includes programs that range from peace to security, good governance to conclusion of peace process, economic policy and programs to social transformation, immediate relief to reconstruction and rehabilitation, biodiversity to international relations.

The government will inoculate one thirds of population by mid-October and all the Nepali people by mid-April, according to CMP.
