PM Oli has skipped constitutional provisions, HoR will be reinstated: Yogesh Bhattarai

Says HoR will be reinstated

KATHMANDU: Influencing youth leader of the ruling CPN-UML Yogesh Bhattarai has accused Prime Minister KP Oli of skipping some provisions relating to the formation of the government before dissolving the House of Representatives (HoR).

Speaking to reporters in Taplejung on Sunday, Bhattarai said that the parliament would be reconstituted as PM Oli skipped some provisions and ignored the precedents on such occasions as well.

“PM Oli has taken to 76 (5) without going to 76 (4) first, this makes room for the restoration of the House of Representatives,” he said.

Bhattarai also claimed that there are stronger logics for restoration of HoR this time.

He said that the forthcoming decision would further clarify the powers of the President in Article 5.

He also hoped that the court would clarify the President’s decision on PM Oli and Nepali Congress president Deuba’s claim for the post of prime minister as per Article 76 (5).
