Valley CDOs likely to extend prohibitory order by one week



KATHMANDU: Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley are holding a meeting on Sunday to take a decision on the extension of the prohibitory order.

A meeting of Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) is likely to extend the prohibitory order by one more week.

The administration is preparing to extend the ongoing prohibitory order with some systematic easing of restrictions in the Kathmandu Valley, according to Kathmandu CDO Kali Prasad Parajuli.

He added that they are preparing to extend the prohibitory order as there is still a risk of coronavirus spread in the Valley.

The prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley is coming to an end on Sunday at midnight.
