POKHARA: Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara and The Art of Living have distributed relief materials to boatmen, who have been making a living taking visitors on boating trips in Phewa Lake, Pokhara.

President of REBAN, Pokhara, Laxman Baral, said that relief materials were distributed to the boatmen, facing problems to manage meals due to prohibitory order imposed by government following coronavirus infection surge.

Baral shared, “We distributed relief materials to boatmen after knowing that they are facing problem to manage meal as prohibitory period has been continuing since long.” Relief materials were distributed to 85 people on Friday after identifying the boatmen with low financial condition.

Baral further added that 32 more people would be provided with relief materials on Saturday as they have got information that such number of people has been facing the same problem.
