Janamorcha’s former lawmaker Thapa knocks SC door seeking reinstatement

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Janamorcha’s former lawmaker of Gandaki Province Assembly Krishna Thapa has knocked the Supreme Court door seeking reinstatement in the post.

According to sources, Thapa reached the Supreme Court with a writ petition saying that he has been removed from the parliament without fulfilling due procedure. His writ has been registered on Friday.

In the writ petition, Thapa has demanded that his post should be restored.

He argued that he has been dismissed from the post of lawmaker without calling the meeting of the province parliamentary party.

Thapa was dismissed by his party for allegedly not abiding the parliamentary party directions to join opposition alliance against the Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
