Coronavirus infection and mortality rate declining in Sudurpaschim



DOTI: The rate of coronavirus infection, as well as mortality rate from the infection, has been found to decrease in Sudurpaschim Province along with Doti in the recent few weeks.

According to the Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate, Dipayal, Rajpur, out of the total test carried out from May 3 to May 10 in the province, 37.2 percent infection rate was confirmed. Chief of the Directorate, Dr. Gana Raj Awasthi, said that the infection and mortality rate has been found declining gradually till June 3 since May 3.

Now, the mortality rate has been found to decrease by 2.15 percent. Coronavirus was confirmed in 3,305 people this week while carrying out a test of 14,914 as compared to the previous three weeks, according to the Directorate.

As per the data of the Directorate, the recovery rate has been found to increase in the province. Coronavirus infection and mortality rate has been found declining in the province since May 25.

The Directorate claimed that coronavirus infection and mortality rate has been decreasing as the people are aware to be protected from the infection and they have been following the prohibitory order imposed by the government.
