Rasuwa hospitals receive ventilators

KATHMANDU: Two hospitals in Rasuwa including District Hospital in Dhunche are going to set up ventilator service, the first of its kind in Rasuwa, after receiving ventilators and other medical supplies.

Outgoing lawmaker Mohan Acharya on Wednesday handed over the medical supplies including ventilators to the District COVID-19 Control Management Committee to support the hospitals.

Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Ishwori Prasad Dhakal said that health materials worth Rs 1.6 million were received including four mini-ventilators, five general beds, 30 oximeter and 3,000 pieces of surgical masks.

The health supplies have been equally distributed to District Hospital and a hospital-based in Jibjibe, CDO Dhakal shared. Outgoing lawmaker Acharya said that he provided the health supplies on his personal level to help the COVID-19 patients.

Likewise, Acting Medical Superintendent of Rasuwa Hospital Dr Bhuwan KC said that the health supplies provided from Acharya would be a great help to treat the patients there.
