Ganga Thapa wants govt to table bills at HoR instead of issuing ordinances

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gangan Thapa has asked the government to table the ordinances issued Tuesday in form of bills in the upcoming session of the House of Representatives (HoR).

He criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for skipping the HoR debate and hastily issuing seven different ordinances Tuesday on his Facebook.

PM Oli is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence on May 10.

Thapa said the PM’s move was against the spirit of democracy and unconstitutional.
