Judicial Council member Nirala dies of coronavirus



KATHMANDU: Judicial Council member Laxmi Bahadur Nirala Khadka has died of coronavirus on Tuesday morning.

According to sources, former Attorney General Nirala was admitted to Balambu based Armed Police Force Hospital on April 23.

Nirala had also executed his duty as the Attorney General during former King Gyanendra Shah’s active rule.

He had diabetes, high blood pressure and had grown pneumonia as well.

He was appointed as a member of the Judicial Council in December 2018.
