Five more people succumb to coronavirus in Karnali Province



SURKHET: Five more people have succumbed to coronavirus in Karnali.

The deceased have been identified as four males aged 52, 26, and 40 of Surkhet Birendranagar Municipality and a 63-year-old female of ward No. 7, according to Dr. Rabin Khadka, Acting Director, Health Services Directorate, Karnali.

Dr. Khadka said that they died while undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet.

According to him, a 35-year-old man died at the Dailekh District Hospital on Tuesday.

As many as 59 people – one on Tuesday, five on Monday, and three on Sunday — have succumbed to coronavirus in Karnali so far.

Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 581 PCR tests were performed in Karnali.

Out of 9,128 confirmed cases in the province, 7,622 have recovered as of today.
