21 security force personnel missing after encounter with Naxals in India’s Chhattisgarh



NEW DELHI: As many as 21 security forces personnel are missing since the encounter with Naxals in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

Security forces launched an operation along the Sukma-Bijapur border in the state, where a face-off resulted in the deaths of five security force personnel and left 20 others injured.

According to India Today, a total of 24 injured security forces personnel were brought to the Bijapur hospital.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has condoled the deaths of security personnel in Chhattisgarh.

“We will continue our fight against these enemies of peace & progress,” Shah said, according to India Today.
