KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has informed the Parliament Secretariat about the faction’s decision of ousting Parliamentary Party leader KP Oli, Deputy Leader Subash Nembang, and Whip Shanta Chaudhary, among other leaders.

The faction of the NCP sent a letter to the Parliament Secretariat informing that it has expelled Prime Minister Oli from the party.

In the letter to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has said that the meeting of the majority members of the Central Committee held on February 1 expelled Oli from the party.

Prachanda, in the letter, has said that any letter or move taken by Prime Minister Oli or anyone else in the name of the leader of the Parliamentary Party would not be acceptable and would be deemed unauthorized.

Faction leaders, including Dev Gurung, Pampha Bhusal, Dinanath Sharma, among others reached the Secretariat’s office in Singha Durbar on Thursday to apprise it about the decision.

On Wednesday, a central working committee meeting of the Prachanda-Nepal faction had expelled PM Oli from the Parliamentary Party leader.

Meanwhile, according to Bhusal, the Prachanda-Nepal faction has called a meeting of the Parliamentary Party for Friday morning.
