BUTWAL: Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has dismissed claims that the Prime Minister KP Oli-led government would topple anytime soon.

“The government will complete its full term,” he said adding, “Be assured, the government will serve another two years.”

He said efforts and conspiracies to topple the government would be futile, and unsuccessful.

“In fact, such efforts would be meaningless,” he claimed while talking briefly to journalists in Butwal on Thursday.

Paudel also added that the removal of Prime Minister Oli from the government would be futile and that the government would remain under Oli’s leadership for the remaining two years.

Minister Paudel, who is also the General Secretary of the ruling Nepal Communist Party of the Oli-led faction, claimed of holding a majority in both the parliamentary party and the House of Representatives.

He added that the party led by PM Oli will garner a two-thirds majority in the next election.
