PM Oli scoffs at Prachanda for inspecting strike riding vehicle

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has scoffed at the general strike carried out by the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction.

Addressing a meeting of the Farmers’ Federation on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli said that Prachanda went observe the general strike on a vehicle by enforcing a strike that has hit people hard.

Oli’s commented that they themselves participated in the strike due to the shortage of cadres.

The Prime Minister further warned Prachanda not to threaten saying that there is a rule of law in the country.

“The rule of law is there now. Everyone has to abide by law and constitution,” said Prime Minister Oli.

He said that Prachanda had threatened the court and the Election Commission and that no one should be threatened under the rule of law.
