Kathmandu Valley sees 78 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 78 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 61 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 4 in Bhaktapur, and 13 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 171 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 2,71,602 in the country as of Thursday afternoon.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has  2,277 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 227 infected people got recovery from the virus infection.

So far, 2,67,292 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly,  two more persons succumbed to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total death tally to 2,033.
