NCP leader Jha injured in clash between Prachanda-Nepal cadres and police in Janakpur



JANAKPURDHAM: Standing Committee member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Ram Chandra Jha has been injured in a clash between police and the agitating cadres faction in JanakpurdhamThursday.

The clash took place after police blocked the leaders and cadres who had reached Shiva Chowk in Janakpurdham as part of their agitation against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

According to the leaders of the faction, Jha, who has sustained head injury has been kept at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpur for treatment.

According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, police charged batons and fired a dozen rounds in the air during the clash.

Police have also arrested dozens of Dahal-Nepal cadres.

Activists of the Dahal Nepal group have vandalized a police van (Na 1 Ka 512) and a vehicle (J 1 Cha 1570) carrying goods.
