Top leaders including Prachanda take to streets to enforce general strike



KATHMANDU: Top-notch leaders including chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda have taken to the streets to make the general strike a success.

The protest rally which started from Satdobato passed Jawalakhel before converging into a sit-in at Pulchowk.

Prachanda is currently leading the mass rally of bandh enforcers at Satdobato Chwok. Similarly, Narayan Kaji Shrestha is leading protest really at Ratna Park.

Leaders have come out in the streets to enforce the nationwide bandh. Police have arrested Standing Committee member Astalaxmi Shakya from Kalanki this morning.

The disgruntled faction has called the general strike against the appointments in the constitutional bodies and the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
