NCP Vice-Chair Gautam to run nationwide party unity campaign

KATHMANDU: At the time when the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has split informally, Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam is still pitching for party unity.

Vice-Chairman Gautam is in favor of running a nationwide campaign for party unity.

He is of the opinion that the party has not split yet. Gautam argues that he is against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

He has been saying that the possibility of unity will remain alive even before or after the Supreme Court’s decision as its case is sub-judice at the apex court.

Gautam is preparing to expand the unity campaign throughout the country.

Intensive technical preparations have been made to run the campaign, said Vice President Gautam’s Press Assistant Bishwamani Subedi.

“Concept papers are also being printed,” Subedi said, “He (Bamdev) has been urging people from all over the country to join him for the unity campaign.”

He also said that thousands of cadres will join the campaign.

Subedi said that the program would be announced in a few days after preparing for party unity nationwide.
