Prachanda-Nepal faction’s SC meeting underway at Peris Danda

KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is underway at the party office in Peris Danda on Monday.

The SC meeting is dwelling on the protest programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR), said leader Yogesh Bhattarai.

Madhav Nepal is chairing the SC meeting as another chairman of the faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal has left for India for the treatment of his ailing wife Sita Dahal.

The SC meeting chaired by Madhav Nepal on Sunday formed a task-force on the remaining task of party unification and allocation of duties and responsibilities under the coordination of Nepal.

The disgruntled faction has also announced the second phase of protest programs against the Oli-led government and the dissolution of HoR.

As per the announced programs, the faction is organizing cadres’ orientation programs from ward to municipality level starting today.
