KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man with a pistol and 50 rounds of bullets at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Badrihang Rai of Mechinagar municipality-2, Jhapa while he was about to board a flight of Shree Airlines for Bhadrapur from TIA at 12:45 pm.

Rai was rounded up with a 9MM pistol and its bullets during a security check at the TIA, said SSP Rajesh Nath Bastola, chief of TIA security.
