NC CWC meeting postponed for a week

KATHMANDU: The ongoing Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has been postponed for a week.

The CWC meeting has been postponed after the protest programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) were made public on Sunday.

According to chief secretary of the party’s office Krishna Prasad Poudel, the next meeting of the Central Committee will be held on January 11.

The meeting has been going on since December 22. The meeting held on December 24 had decided to hold demonstrations in 165 parliamentary constituencies across the country. Accordingly, the NC also staged a demonstration on the December 28.

Similarly, the meeting held on Sunday decided to hold demonstrations in all the local level constituencies on January 16 and in all the local level wards on January 28.
