Police nab two with red panda hide

KATHMANDU: Two persons have been arrested in Jajarkot with the skin of a red panda, habre.

According to Jajarkot Police the arrestees are Lok Bahadur Rokay, 35, and Gorakh Bahadur Rokay, 20, of Barekot- 3, Jajarkot.

Acting on the tip of the fact that smugglers were working for the transaction of the endangered panda hide, a plainclothes police team from the District Police Office had intensified the search in the area.

They were nabbed from Kaushila Cottage and Restaurant of Barekot-8, Sepukhola.

Jajarkot Police Chief DSP Madhu Kumar Thapa, informed that the arrested have been handed over to the Division Forest Office, Jajarkot for further action.
