29 gamblers arrested in Tanahu



TANAHU: Twenty-nine people have been arrested by the police last night while they were playing dice at the house of local Bil Bahadur Gurung.

Police also seized Rs 9 lakh from them.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Timilsina informed that the police team arrested them after receiving information that they were gambling with a large amount of money.

Among the arrested are Bhanubhakta Parajuli of Shuklagandaki Municipality-8, Suraj Ramjali, Nir Pun, Anjan Gurung, Prakash Gurung, Biki Gurung, Dilchandra Pun, Jit Bahadur Sunar, Mohit Juharchan, Raju Pun, Raju Magar and Man Bahadur Pariyar of Shuklagandaki-4.

Similarly, Rupesh Gurung of Shuklagandaki Municipality-2, Govind BK of Shuklagandaki Municipality-3, Deepak Sunar, Bishnu Bishwakarma, Narayan Singh Thapa of Shuklagandaki Municipality-8, Chudamani Poudel, Ramesh Bhattarai, Bil Bahadur Gurung, Padma Bahadur Gurung, Bharat Gurung, Mumalal BK, Roshan Bhattarai, Prakash Bhattarai, Som Prasad Poudel, Shyam Gurung, Maniratna Poudel and Krita Bhattarai of Shuklagand Municipality-11 have also been arrested.
