SC Justices to go for stringent protests after Tihar



KATHMANDU: Supreme Court (SC) Justices have decided to launch stringent protests against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana immediately after the Tihar festival.

All the 19 Supreme Court Justices, who have been boycotting the benches for the last nine days demanding resignation for Rana, heard the writ petitions r related to habeas corpus on Monday.

Holding a meeting on Tuesday, Chief Justice Rana decided to go for stringent actions after Tihar.

“Even though Chief Justice floated a proposal for a graceful exit we have a doubt on its implementation. Hence, we concluded that Chief Justice Rana should step down without further delay,” said a Justice.
