Province 1 CM Rai’s first meet of cabinet revokes all political appointments



MORANG: The first cabinet meeting of the newly-appointed Chief Minister Rajendra Rai led administration in Province 1 held Tuesday evening scrapped all the decisions and political appointments made by the outgoing province government led by Bhim Prasad Acharya.

Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Province 1 Indra Bahadur Angboo said that the decisions would be taken for the process to revoke after a review as the appointments made by the Acharya administration were not in line with the constitution.

Likewise, the cabinet meeting of the Province 1 held yesterday evening decided to give scholarship to one student each from economically poor, Dalit, marginalized community from all 137 local levels of Province 1 to study technical education.

Minister Angbo said that a decision was taken to develop a procedure for the protection of endangered cultures.
