Three Nepalis of the same family die due to floods in New York



KATHMANDU: Three Nepalis living in New York, USA have died due to the floods that came along with the heavy rains caused by Hurricane Ida.

According to the United Sherpa Association (USA), three members of the same family from Dudhkunda Municipality-2, Junbesi, Solukhumbu, who were living in New York, died due to the floods.

The floods killed Aang Gelu Lama, his wife Mingmar Sherpa and their 19-month-old son Lopsang Lama.

Heavy rains and tornadoes along with Hurricane Ida have affected people’s lives in the northeastern United States.

At least 41 people have been killed in floods and tornadoes across the state, according to US media reports.
