Maoist Center Chair Prachanda and UML leader Nepal hold talks

UML Chair Oli also to told talks with Nepal today



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has held a meeting with CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Tuesday morning.

Chairman Prachanda has met with Nepal at a time when UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli was making preparations to hold talks with Nepal.

Secretariats of both the heavyweights confirmed the meeting between Prachanda and Nepal, but did not want to divulge the place.

Sources have informed that the meeting took place in a house nearby Nepal’s residence in Koteshwor.

“Prachanda and Nepal have dwelled on the latest political developments and the participation on the government,” according to sources.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is making preparations to expand the cabinet with the participation of the Nepal-Khanal faction.

Nepal-Khanal faction has been saying that it will not participate in the cabinet due to internal disputes of the party, of late.

Meanwhile, Nepal and Chairman Oli are also holding a one-on-one meeting today.  However, the time and the venue have not been fixed, said UML leaders.
