Jhapa records 4 more deaths linked to COVID-19

Death tally hits 463 in Jhapa



DAMAK: Four additional people including two in Damak municipality have died from COVID-19 in Jhapa district.

The deceased have been identified as a 63-year-old man of Damak municipality-1 and 50-year-old man of Damak-, informed the health department of the municipality.

According to Devi Dangal, a member of Beldangi Management Committee for COVID Treatment Center under Damak Hospital, both the COVID patients died in the course of treatment at Advance Hospital in Damak on Monday.

Similarly, two people from the Shivasatakshi municipality have died from the pandemic, according to the health department of the municipality.

The deceased are a 43-year-old woman of Shivasatakshi-11, Dudhe and 60-year-old man of Shivasatakshi-6, Shivagunj.

The woman passed away in the course of treatment at Birta City in Birtamod while the sexagenarian breathed his last at Biratnagar Hospital, said municipal focal person Roshan Adhikari.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 463 in Jhapa district, according to District Health Office.
