NC to hold ward convention based on old active membership where consensus fails

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold ward conventions based on the data of old active memberships in those wards beset by disputes.

An office-bearers’ meeting held at Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha this morning took a decision to this effect, informed central member NP Saud.

“The meeting decided to hold the 14th General Convention on the stipulated date,” said Saud, adding, “Efforts will be rendered to forge consensus in those wards beset by dispute. The ward convention will be held based on the data of old active memberships in those wards where consensus fails,” said Saud.
