Gokarna Bista striving to restore UML to pre-NCP days

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader close to disgruntled Khanal-Nepal faction Gokarna Bista has said that he will continue to strive to restore party in May 16, 2018 status.

Responding to the media comments alleging that he has been inching closer to Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Oli deserting Khanal-Nepal faction, influential leader Bista wrote on social media on Thursday he has been working hard to retain party unity.

He said that he has been working hard to retain the glory of the communist movement and trying to get the party committees and structures restored as before the union between the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist Center.

“It is our desire to build a strong and unified communist party with the right ideas and course of action in the interest of the communist movement by restoring all the committees of the party to their previous state as on June 16, 2018 BS,” Bista said.
