World Cup Qualifier: Nepal facing Chinese Taipei today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on Chinese Taipei in the second round match of the World Cup Qualifier on Thursday.

Nepal will face Chinese Taipei at the Jaber Al-Hamad International Stadium at 7 pm local time (9:45 pm NST).

Speaking in the virtual pre-match conference on Wednesday, head coach Abdullah Almutairi said coach expected the match to be difficult for both sides. “It’s not easy to play in Kuwait weather and it is going to be difficult for both of us.”

Chinese Taipei coach Vom Ca-nhum also reiterated the hot weather condition in Kuwait. “We are having difficulties in adapting to the weather condition and our biggest challenge has been the weather.”

Nepal will face Jordan on June 7 before wrapping up with Australia on June 11.
