Antigen test on Nepali nationals entering Nepal via land routes

KATHMANDU: The government has announced conducting antigen test of every citizen entering Nepal through Nepal-India border points.

A cabinet meeting held Monday decided to move forward in this manner. In addition, the entry of foreign nationals through Nepal-India border will be stopped.

According to Home Ministry Spokesperson Janak Raj Dahal, local levels concerned will manage the antigen test of the citizens entering through the border. However, they need to coordinate with the province governments for the same.

Dahal said those entering through the border will have to undergo mandatory 10-day quarantine and local levels will enforce implementation of the provision.

The Cabinet has fixed 13 border points to allow entry of Nepali nationals into the country.
