 Valley CDOs to hold joint meet on extension of prohibitory order



KATHMANDU: Chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhanktapur are making preparations to hold a joint meeting on the extension of prohibitory orders.

The joint meeting will discuss the extension of the prohibitory order that is expiring on May 5.

“The joint meeting will hold discussions on the prohibitory orders and come up with a decision on it,” said CDO of Lalitpur Dhundi Niraula.

A cabinet meeting of the cabinet held on April 26 had decided to impose prohibitory order in the districts of the Terai region and the Kathmandu Valley with 500 active cases. Similarly, the CDOs are instructed to impose prohibitory orders in hilly and mountainous districts with 200 active cases are reported.

“The meeting will be focused on how to make the upcoming prohibitory order more scientific, effective and well-managed,” said Niraula.

The meeting will take place either at 6 pm today or tomorrow, according to Niraula.
