NC decision will change political course, new govt soon: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said the political course will change now after the Nepali Congress (NC) reached a consensus to form a government.

Speaking at a district-level training and party entry program in Kapilvastu on Saturday, Chairman Prachanda claimed that the political turmoil will end in the country after the NC decision to form a government under it.

“The politics of the country has changed since yesterday, after the decision of the Nepali Congress,” he said, adding, “A new government will be formed soon.”

A meeting of the NC Central Working Committee on Friday demanded the resignation of Prime Minister KP Oli and decided to take the lead in forming an alternative government.

Maoist Chair Prachanda also urged the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) not to ally with anti-Madhes elements, referring to PM Oli.

Commenting on PM Oli as an agent of feudalism, he added that development and prosperity are impossible under PM Oli.
