Nepali Community Center to be built in Australia



SYDNEY: The process for the grant assistance of AUD 1 million pledged by the federal government of Australia for Nepali community has reached the final stage.

David Colman, a candidate for the federal general elections of the year 2019, had announced to provide AUD 1 million for the establishment of the Nepal Community Center in Australia.

Sydney-based Nepalese Australian Association is making necessary preparations to obtain the grant assistance.

The Association has recently organized a press conference virtually to update people about the grant assistance.

According to a press release issued by the Association, a detailed project report on the community center has been sent to the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development of the federal government of Australia.

According to the report, around AUD 1,250,000 is required for the construction of the community center.
